CADAS: Who are we?
Coventry and District Archaeological Society have been around since the mid 1960's.
We're a friendly bunch with a shared passion in archaeology in Coventry and round about.
We have close links with the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum, local professional Archaeology Units and other professional bodies.
Over the years, our members have taken part in some fabulous excavation opportunities in and around the city, and in 2013, the current committee hope to be able to offer its members, and the local community, a chance to re-visit an old haunt, as we are currently applying for Heritage Lottery Funding. This is to further investigate a possible Roman site on which several field walking activities have already taken place in the early 2000's.
The application is in, and we wait with baited breath to see if it successful, so watch this space, as we need YOU to come along and enjoy the experience with us.
